Safetyflex has developed Fix Block 50, a revolutionary low-cost hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) block that sets a new global benchmark in perimeter security. Independently crash tested at the HORIBA MIRA Test Facility, UK, in accordance with ISO 22343-1, Fix Block 50 was designed to stop a 7.5-tonne truck (tested impact vehicle mass of 7.2 tonnes) travelling at 50 mph (80 km/h). It achieved the world's first performance rating for a single tested 50 mph (80 km/h) HVM block, recording zero penetration beyond the protected side of the block and zero major debris travel—establishing a new benchmark in hostile vehicle mitigation.
Requiring a foundation depth of just 300 mm, the uniquely engineered shallow-foundation system significantly reduces excavation, installation time, groundworks and overall project costs compared with traditional HVM systems.
